Big Boy!

Today was a BIG day for me. It was my 1-month check up. I couldn't wait to see how much I had grown, but not nearly as much as Mom. However, when the nurse came in and said she need to take my temperature - you know, THAT way - I started to get a little nervous about this visit. But everything came out OK, including the thermometer. The doc said I weighed 9lbs, 10oz and I was 22 1/2 inches long. I'm not really looking forward to my next visit since the doc said I'm going to get 4 shots -- ouch!!!

My Doggie

Today I thought I would blog about my dog -- Lobo. He's awesome and from my point of view really, really BIG.

When I first got home he didn't know what to make of me or me of him. He also didn't understand personal space. I don't know how many times I opened my eyes to see a huge, moist nose and two dark brown eyes staring back at me.

When I cry he comes to check on me and he usually brings me one of his toys. If someone comes to visit he's usually not far away keep an eye on me. Lobo and I will go on many adventures in the years to come. We are going to be the best of friends!

My First Christmas!

Of course I was up first but then that's me everyday. Why should Christmas morning be any different? Once everyone was up, I was fed, changed and dressed we sat down to open presents. Mom and dad opened presents with Lobo's help. I got some cool toys and clothes, and then the rest of the day we hung out, watched movies and took naps.

Christmas with the Kranks (jk)

Nanna and Pap came to see me in December and to start Christmas early -- I was all about that. Nanna and Pap just couldn't get enough of me and I had them eating right out of my hand. I got to skip naps, eat every hour and stay up way past my bedtime. Nanna and Pap you can come visit me anytime you want.

Hanging Out w/Nanna & Pap

Nanna and Pap Soles came to visit me this week. I was excited to meet them, but not as excited as they were to hold me. While they were here I don't think they ever put me down or stopped feeding me -- thanks Nanna and Pap. We got in a lot of quality time while they were here and I hated to see them leave. I can't wait to see them again!

Rub-a-Dub-Dub

I really like bath time. It's like going to the spa. I soak in the sink, have a rub down on the counter and end with a wrap in my bath towel. Dad thinks he's funny when he gives me a baby Mohawk -- me, I just play along. He's not going to think it's as funny when I come home from Jr. High with pink spikes and a nose ring (just kidding mom).

My Crib

Today I thought I would blog about my "crib" since my dad worked so hard getting it ready for me. Dad painted (and re-painted) my pad yellow and mom decked it out with some pretty sweet furniture. There's some cool art work, great toys and much, much more. I even have my own fridge. You'll have to come over and check it out.

I still don't get to sleep in my own room yet since mom and dad still make me sleep in their room. I do get to hang out in my room when it's time to eat in the middle of the night.

Going Home

Today I'm going home -- out into the big 'ole world. Today is going to be a day of firsts...my first time getting dressed...my first trip in the car...my first time going outside...I'm a little nervous, but really excited at the same time. Let's go!

Mom and dad got some new wheels just because they knew I was coming. I like mom's ride a lot and it's even pimped out with a comfy seat just for me.

1st Family Photo

Don't we all look great -- especially mom! This photo of us was taken shortly after I arrived.

It's a Boy!

We'll you probably wonder what I've been doing all day. To be honest I was just hanging around waiting. Finally, the doc decided enough was enough. I arrived at 3:46 PM on Sunday, November 25th.

3 AM Wake Up

We'll it's only about 2 hours since Dad's head hit the sheets , so I think it's the perfect time to announce that I'm ready to make my entrance into this big 'ole place I've heard so much about. Here's how I remember it all going down...

Mom debated for a second whether to wake dad or not. She quickly and calmly woke him by saying, "I think my water just broke." Dad calmly, but quickly replied, "You've gotta to be kidding me." The reality soon set in and they jumped into action. Mom called the doc and dad gathered up our stuff. We gathered everything up, said goodbye to Lobo and headed for the hospital. For those of you that like to always know what time it is (like my dad) it's about 3:30 AM.

We'll I need to get going cause I have a lot of work to do. I'll see you in about 12 hours!

Twas the Night Before (my birthday)

We'll I'm almost here. Mom and dad don't have a clue that in less than 24 hours I'm making my big debut, nor do they have any idea what they're in for. Here's a pic of mom and me from November 11th. Mom and dad are expecting me to be a brut.

Today dad's throwing mom a surprise 35th birthday party. Dad's been running around picking up stuff for the party while mom and me are taking a nap -- we do that a lot these days. Dad woke us up about 2 hours before everyone started showing up. Mom and me almost didn't have time to get ready. For mom's birthday cake dad picked up one of mom's favorite things -- Portillo's Famous Chocolate Cake. Actually we had two of them -- yum!

The party turned out great. Many of mom and dad's friends and neighbors came and everyone had a great time. Most of the people left around 10 and mom decided to head off to bed. Dad stayed up with the guys watching college football. Mom and me we're still up when dad crawled in bed around 1:30 AM. He no sooner hit the sheets and he was out. See ya soon, Dad.

My 20 Week Photo

Mom and dad were so excited to see me again and to see how much I had grown since my 12 week photo. They still don't know if I have little boy or girl parts, so I have to keep my first secret for a little while longer.

Mom's been taking really good care of me. I especially like when she takes me to Portillo's for that Famous chocolate cake. She doesn't know it yet, but that famous cake will play a role in my arrival in about 39 weeks (shhh!).
